Sheriff Blake Dorning announced today that unknown subjects are representing themselves as law enforcement and contacting potential victims by telephone. They are advising victims the Madison County Sheriff’s Office hold warrants for their arrest. They instruct those victims to report to the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) Building located at 715 a Wheeler Ave, Huntsville, Alabama and bring Money Gift cards. The subjects will meet them at CID to collect the cards and void the arrest. The Madison County Sheriff’s Office does not conduct business in this manner. If you are contacted by these individuals please notify the Sheriff’s Office immediately. Also please try to get the telephone number the subjects used to contact you.
