Sheriff Dorning announced today that on April 13, 2017 at approximately 0930 hours, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence in the block of 100 Atwilder Drive in Hazel Green to a deceased white male. The male was identified as William Burton Vickers JR., born 10-18-1960. Madison County Sheriff’s Office Investigation Division responded and determined based on witnesses and physical evidence Mr. Vickers death appeared to be an accidental gunshot wound to the lower abdomen. Mr. Vickers was transported to The Department of Forensic Sciences for autopsy. At this time no further information is available.
