Sheriff Dorning announced today that on May 25, 2017 at approximately 5:00 pm the Madison County Sheriff’s Office responded to assist a subject that was suffering from a gunshot wound that took place in the Inspiration Pointe Community Pool located in Meridianville Alabama. The victim appeared to be shot one time in the lower extremities of his body. The victim was transported, treated, and released from Huntsville Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division to include Crime Scene responded to the crime scene to initiate the investigation. At this time, we have identified a person of interest and we are attempting to locate that subject. No further information will be released at this time due to the ongoing investigation.
