Shooting ending with One Arrest for Attempted Murder

Sheriff Blake Dorning announced today that Deputies with the Madison County Sheriff’s Office responded to a Domestic Violence Incident off of Alpha Lane in Northeastern part of Madison County on August 30th. Dispatchers received an emergency call shortly after midnight of a possible shooting. When Deputies arrived they found Doris Timmons, 43 year old female of Huntsville, with a single gunshot wound. Doris was transported to the Hospital, and she is currently in Critical Condition. Cary Jefferson, 45 year old male of Huntsville, was also present at the scene. After an Investigation into the shooting, Investigators arrested Cary Jefferson for Attempted Murder. Cary was booked into the Madison County Detention Facility with a $60,000.00 bond.

Mr. Jefferson arrest was based upon probable cause and he is considered innocent until proven guilty.
