12 School Resource Officers Completing D.A.R.E. Instructor Certification

The Madison County Sheriff's Office is proud to share that 12 of our School Resource Officers are currently completing D.A.R.E. instructor certification, allowing them to teach all grade levels across our school system.
For the next 8 days, Mississippi and Alabama D.A.R.E. coordinators and educators are onsite providing intensive instruction and training. This certification strengthens our ability to positively engage students, build trust, and reinforce healthy, safe decision-making from an early age.
"Our School Resource Officers play a vital role in both our schools and our community. By becoming D.A.R.E. certified instructors, they are expanding their impact beyond enforcement and into prevention, education, and mentorship. This training allows our deputies to reach youth at every grade level, build lasting relationships, and help guide students toward making healthy, responsible decisions. This is an investment in our youth and in the future of Madison County."
