FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

October 11, 2016

Sheriff Blake Dorning announced today that on October 9th, 2016, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 200 block of Vine Cliff Drive in Harvest, Alabama, for a call for service. The Deputies were responding to burglary in progress call. One of the homeowners that was a victim of a burglary observed a suspect in the garage area of their home. They were able to give the Sheriff’s Office a description of the suspect and the suspect’s vehicle. The Sheriff’s Office Communications Division then transmitted that information to the responding Deputies and other Law Enforcement Units working in Madison County. The Alabama State Troopers stopped the suspect’s vehicle and found it to be occupied by two persons. The persons occupying the vehicle were Patrick Michael Shannon, white male, born in 1995, and Karlee Patrice Hogan, white female, born in 1997. Criminal Investigators then responded to the traffic stop and conducted an Investigation into the Burglaries. The result of the Investigation netted the recovery of one of the homeowners’ property. The other homeowners’ property was recovered on the street in front of their residence. Both of the aforementioned subjects were arrested for 2 counts of Burglary in the Second Degree and placed in the Madison County Jail Facility and a bond to total of $40,000 was set for each suspect. Also in the vehicle was a plethora of other power tools and other miscellaneous items. We are attempting to locate the victims and what we think is additional stolen property.

Patrick Michael Shannon and Karlee Patrice Hogan were arrested on probable cause by the Madison County Sheriff’s Office and are presumed innocent until determined otherwise by the judicial system.
