Warrant Issued For Murder Suspect

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

May 20, 2017

 

Sheriff Blake Dorning announced today that on May 20, 2017 at approximately 0045 hours, Madison County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a stabbing in progress in the 100 block of Hammonds Rd. Harvest, Alabama 35749. Upon the Deputies arrival they discovered Mr. Twan Lanier Carter, 51 years of age suffering from critical injuries. The victim was transported via ambulance to Huntsville Hospital. Unfortunately, the victim has succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead a short time later.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division (CID) responded at which time, Criminal Investigators developed information based on witness accounts and physical evidence that the following suspect; a family member of the victim has been identified as:

Muriel Lolan King, 06/22/1973 Black Male, 5’11, 170 pounds, Black Hair, Brown eyes

An active arrest warrant for MURDER has been issued for the Muriel L. King. The suspect should be considered armed and dangerous. Please contact the Madison County Sheriff’s Office with any information at (256) 722-7181. 

The suspect was last seen riding in a 2000-2004 White Chevy Tahoe, with expired Alabama License Plates. The vehicle has “stock” rims and tires. The suspect is believed to be in the Huntsville Area.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office advises the public to not approach the suspect; the public is asked to contact Law Enforcement or 911.

Muriel L. King is presumed innocent until determined otherwise by the judicial system. The arrest warrant was issued based on probable cause by the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.
