Suspects Arrested and Charged in Robbery

Sheriff Blake Dorning announced today that on June 15, 2017 at approximately 2330 hours, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Walmart business at 14595 Highway 231-431 in Hazel Green, Alabama, for a Robbery call. At the time of the incident we had no persons of interests or leads to investigate. The day following the Robbery, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office did a press release requesting assistance in identifying suspects from the general public. We received a valuable tip from an anonymous source advising on possible suspects in the Robbery. Based on this information, one suspect was detained and interviewed on Saturday, June 17, 2017. On this day, the victim’s vehicle was located in Columbia, Tennessee. The vehicle had the interior removed along with other miscellaneous items. Upon competition of the initial interview, several suspects were identified. Tyrone Lee Miller, black male, born in 1997 (20 years old), James Jarae Moore, Black Male, born in 1998 (19 years old), Jamiason Jarell Sanders, born in 1998 (18 years old), Lavonte Squaine White, Black Male, born in 1993 (23 years old), and 2 juveniles were identified. At that time, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office began the process of locating the suspects and gathering evidence for prosecution. Jamiason Jarrell Sanders and Lavonte Squaine White were located in the Madison County Jail. They were interviewed and charged with the Walmart Robbery. We requested assistance from Huntsville Police Department in locating James Jarae Moore. He was located by HPD Patrol Units at Big Spring Park on June 20, 2017. He was interviewed and charged with the Robbery at Walmart. Tyrone Lee Miller was interviewed and charged. Also 1 juvenile was arrested and 1 juvenile awaiting Investigative process.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office responded to another Robbery call in the 11000 block of Highway 231-431 in Meridianville, Alabama on June 19, 2017 at approximately 2100 hours. Based on the Investigative process, we were able to determine the Robbery at Walmart in Hazel Green and the Robbery in Meridianville were connected due to witness accounts. The offender’s in the Meridianville Robbery were positively identified and charged with Robbery in the First Degree. The Huntsville Police Department Anti-Crime Unit made contact with one of the juvenile suspects. He was charged by Huntsville Police Department for Carrying a Concealed Weapon and placed in Robert Neaves Detention Facility for Juveniles. The Madison County Sheriff’s Office Investigation Division also charged the juvenile with Robbery in the First Degree.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the Huntsville Police Department and citizens of Madison County for the assistance provided to bring these subjects to justice in an expedient manner.

Tyrone Lee Miller was charged with Robbery 1st with a bond of $60,000. James Jarae Moore was charged with Robbery 1st with a bond of $60,000. Jamiason Jarell Sanders was charged with Robbery 1st with a bond of $60,000 cash and Assault 1st with a bond of $30,000 cash. Lavonte Squaine White was charged with Robbery 1st with a bond of $60,000 cash and Assault 1st with a bond of $30,000 cash. No information in reference to the juvenile offenders will be released.

The offenders were arrested on probable cause by the Madison County Sheriff’s Office are presumed innocent until determined otherwise by the judicial system.
