The Madison County Sheriff’s Office has positively identified the female body that was recovered from the Tennessee River on August 16, 2017. Based on Forensic Evidence, we have identified the subject as Rose Ellen Jones, white female, 17 years old. The female was a resident of Madison County. The Madison County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate this matter.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the community and also any media outlets that assisted in disbursing information in an attempt to identify the subject.
