Arrest fo Possession of Child Pornography

June 6, 2018

Sheriff Blake Dorning announced today June 6, 2018 that the Madison County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division and Department of Homeland Security arrested Terrence Michael Sweeney, W/M 56yoa, for Possession of Child Pornography (9 counts). At about 6:00am a search warrant was executed in the 11000 block of Irene Drive in Huntsville. The search warrant was for possession of child pornography and was executed without incident. A search of the residence yielded the seizure of multiple electronic devices. A preliminary examination of those electronic devices revealed the presence of multiple images of child pornography. Upon the completion of the search warrant Sweeney was transported to Criminal Investigation Division where he was processed and then booked into the Madison County Jail where he remains on $180,000.00 bond. At this time none of the images appear to be of local victims. This investigation is complete pending forensic examination of the electronic devices. Sweeney is reported to be the co-founder of the Breaking Boundaries Foundation.
